For Families

Everything you need, in one place.

The practical side of life at Discovery Nest — how we communicate, how we help your child settle, and what to expect day to day.

A parent reading with their child

Daily communication

Families receive daily photos and a written recap through our parent app (Xplor), plus warm chats at drop-off and pick-up. You can call any time and be put through to your child's room.

Settling in

Settling is gentle and partnered. We start gradually where we can, lean on familiar routines and comfort items, and work closely with you on what helps your child feel secure — at their own pace.

What to bring

Just the essentials — a change of clothes, any comfort items, and specifics like formula if needed. Meals, snacks and most daily items are provided; we'll share a simple checklist on enrolment.

Meals & allergies

Fresh meals and snacks are cooked on-site daily and included in your fee. Individual dietary and allergy needs are carefully documented and managed, with individual plans for every child who needs one.

Drop-off & parking

We'll share parking and drop-off details for our Eaglehawk centre closer to opening — designed to make mornings as easy as possible for working families.

Immunisation & illness

In line with Victoria's ‘No Jab, No Play', children need an up-to-date immunisation record to enrol. We follow clear illness and hygiene guidelines so unwell children can rest and recover at home.
